My first scavage

I stopped by a cabinet shop asked the guy about some scrap wood. He gave me a cypress block about four inches think by one foot square. He also gave me a peice of cherry wood about five foot long. Than another peice that may be blood wood not sure it was part of a pallet that was shipped to him. Not sure if its just dyed or what I will cut it and see. All in all doesnt matter it was freeeeee.

The pallet has a good chance at being mahogany if it came from oversees. I really doubt that it was stained though, more likely dirty. I stop by sawmills when I get a chance and get some pretty good wood for cheap.
