my first real try at a small bowl

I bought a bag of mesquite firewood from the grocery store and pulled mostly whole logs out of it. So I thought what the heck lets try them out. I need a better tool to work out the center of the bowl but not bad for the my first tries. Still need a few more clear coats on it.

Is it not amazing what one can find in bags of firewood? Great 1st time bowl.

My suggestion is that you date it and write the name of the wood as well on the bottom. Then KEEP IT to serve as an example of how you improve on all those that follow.
