My first larger piece...a Lamp!

So about 8 months ago a buddy of mine gave me about 20 - 25 whole cherry burl, plus a good amount of other wood, plus this ceder burl that was the size of a basketball, his condition was for me to make anything out of this burl for him as payment. So it sat in my shop why I pondered the possibilities. I think the end result speaks for itself.:biggrin:

Thanks, the burl is still solid, just drilled a hole in the center. It has a nice weight to it which makes it nice and stable too.
