I know its not high end, but it is my first fountain pen. It is a PSI Classic Elite dressed with cocobolo. Finish is CA/BLO with MM to 12000.

I had a little trouble getting the ink to flo, but thanks to the great people on this forum, it now writes very smoothly.

This pen was actually created at a customers request. He wanted a less expensive fountain pen with cocobolo. This is what I came up with.

Great job on this pen Gary . This was the first Fountain pen kit that I had made and I still have it in my rotation . If you want to make a much nicer kit that is about the same size and just a bit more expensive , try the Baron kits http://www.arizonasilhouette.com/ . They are much higher quality and use a better threading coupler , very smooth . Also check out Richard's pens website and learn a little more about Fountain pens and how they are made and hot to improve them http://www.richardspens.com/ the reference pages are chock full of great information .

Great job, Gary. The customer should be very happy with what you have produced for him. As Ken said, build one for yourself now. I made one for my bride and one for myself before Christmas. We both still carry our ballpoints for when we have to sign something requiring pressure, but our main carry is now the FP. Ours are on Tritons from Exotic Blanks and we love them. A bit more pricey maybe but beautiful pens.
