Been having fun stabilizing. This time I went with orange and black. The spalted wood came out better but the maple burl has its own unique look.





Here's a better look at the maple burl. The color only got into small areas to give it a feathered look.



It'll most likely look like this as a pen. This isn't that same blank but very similar.

Wow, that blank on the right looks so familiar...!

I have stabilized red some Australian Sugar Gum spalted blanks a few months ago and they look very similar, have a look;
