Does anyone use the Moldex Series 8000 Respirator? I was given 33 pairs of cartridges and a case of filters for these from a auto painter that said sometimes he could smell paint through his. I can buy a new face piece for about $25 including shipping. I think for woodworking it should work great but then I have been wrong before. Anyone that has any info on this please let me know.

Thanks, Ray

I had the painter that gave me the filters pick me up a facemask they will fit. I thought it would be worth a try since I wouldn't have much invested in it. It is lighter than the 3M respirator that I have been using and It does a good job. I have been cutting red cedar in my shop and finishing some pens with CA without any of the odor coming through. If I find a down side to it I'll post it. I'm posting a link with a breakdown on all the applications for anyone that is interested.

I have a similar mask. But I had 2 problems, one it got way too hot and two, I have a beard, it wasn't sealing all that well.
