Andrew,
My son in law has it without the laser and it works good. Only limited by the size of wood that it will cut. How hard is it to ship this to Canada?

I have that same 71/4" size saw but not a Craftsman. I like the small size alot. It's handy as heck and you can carry it with one hand. Should be just the ticket if you plan on cutting pen blanks with it. Just watch your fingers!

That looks like a good choice for a small chop saw--and the price is right. There are a few 8-1/4" saws out there, but they are all sliders, and priced $300-plus. That little 7-1/4 saw would be very portable if you ever need to take it somewhere to lop some 2x4s or trim.

Cheers.

It looks like it's a darn good deal. Just remember to replace the blade on it.
