A friend in Hawaii sent me a nice box full of Koa and Sandle wood in exchange for a tool I had sent to him. I had never seen either of those woods close up before .. Also in the box was a small piece of spalted Mango wood which I also had never worked with before so within 15 minutes of opening the box this morning I had that piece of Mango wood on the lathe and turned this bowl from it .
