Has anyone used a Drill Chuck Mandrel for making golf ball repair tools? Does it require a drill chuck? or does it fit into a standard morse taper?

Never used one myself... But that picture looks to be straight shaft no taper, I would use the drill chuck myself.

Ya I've made them using that mandrel. I just mount it in my drill chuck and use double sided tape. Took me a few tries to get the diameter right for the repair tool.

Save your money if you haven't bought it already. I use my collet chuck or scroll chuck to hold the length of blank then just turn the end to the shape you want, finish it, and part it off. The other option if it is a small piece is to use hot glue to glue it to a waste block and then turn, finish, and part it off.

Me too? live next to a golf course and maybe there is a way to capitalize and offset the damage those things do to my house.
