Begins Tonight!!!

Three pen blanks from the Acadia Plantation. This is very old growth cypress, taken from the demolition which began in 2010 when this plantation was removed from the "National Registry of Historic Places".

This was donated to the IAP to be auctioned in this year's bash. There will be TWO auctions--three and two pen blanks respectively.

Here is the information I received and YOU will receive if you win the blanks--we have been provided with ONE letter for EACH pen blank, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity that I will show in the auction thread, beginning later tonight.

Tonight's offering will be two pieces measuring .98" x .98" x 6" and ONE piece measuring .99" x .99" x 4.43"

There will be pics in the auction thread, this is just a "warmer-upper". The auction will end Sunday night.

READ that letter!!!!

Collectible by:
Jim Bowie of Bowie knife fans
Jim Bowie died in the Alamo battle--Alamo fans (Texans!!)
Civil War---Union encampment in Louisiana

This is certainly "wood with a story" that could command a hefty premium.

This wood came to us from IAP member Rick Roberson, through his son and also an IAP member, David Wayne.

The IAP is grateful for this outstanding, limited historical wood!!
