We were set up at an artist's market today and during a lull in the crowd a young fellow came up to my booth and started looking at my pens. I later learned he was 8 years old. He just looked, didn't touch and his big brown eyes took in everything. After a few minutes his dad came over and the boy pointed out some pens that he was interested in. At each suggestion from the young man his father said, "Not now son." After about four times of a suggestion from the boy and the same reply from his father the father started to lead the boy away and the boy looked up at me and said, "Do you take credit cards?"
