I made a closed end Jr. Statesman so this is the end. Plack acrylic from pipemakers.

What a wonderful idea. Wheather it is a Jr Statesman or Jr Gent the end pieces look soo much better than what comes with the letter opener kits. No to mention you choice in material made for a very classy piece.

I bought the letter opener from CSUSA. I actually stole the idea from James Mann who did it a couple of years ago. I have done a matching Sierra pen-letter opener before. It's really easy to do.- Chris

Don't be afraid of mismatched tubes either. The El-Grande Streamline uses 2 sizes of tubes in the cap. You drill the small hole and then without moving the blank, you drill the larger hole. This method could be used on any pen kit with a thought. Nice job, although it's a shame that you didn't have a black-ti Jr. Statesman final. The Jr.Gent would be great too because of the solid plated post.
