So this weekend I noticed a noise coming from my lathe. I stop it and see on the drive wheel a very thin piece of metal sticking out from behind of it. I took out the two set screws, but couldn't get the drive wheel off. I was able to get it tucked back in and then but the set screws back in. It was ok until I put it back on the highest speed. I didn't know if anyone knew what this piece was, and also if I had to do more to get the wheel off or if it would just take some pressure to get it off. The lathe still works, just not sure what the piece is.
