Started turning this green piece of Jacaranda root yesterday.
There were still green shoots coming from the bark in a few places, even though it has been sitting wrapped in plastic bags for a few months.
I dug up the trunk and cut it into 4 pieces. First one I rough turned almost immediately and the wood was clear white, second one about a month later and that was still fairly white but this one is showing some promise.:biggrin:
I will leave the last piece for a few more months to see what happens.
The 3 rough turned pieces are packed away in the original shavings.:biggrin:
