Well after a long while I gathered my nerve and started making bowls. My first two were small round ones that turned out nicely. For my next two I decided to try natural edge bowls and they turned out fairly well ( the big one is number three and four is the smaller one ). I used spray on lacquer as a finish and then sanded and buffed after they finished curing.

Nice looking bowls. What kind of wood? Bowls are just as addicting as pens.

These were made from a Bradford Pear tree that had a few limbs come down in a storm a few months back. I painted the ends of the branches untill I could get a bandsaw and cut them up, and yes bowls can be as addicting as pens, lol.
