First Friday is fast approaching... In K'ville that is... I mentioned earlier that I was to be the featured artist at the gallery that buys some of my stuff. On the first Friday of every month, the downtown merchants association hold open houses and wine tasting or buffets or whatever to promote their stores.. I wanted to have something different for this coming First Friday... so I tried the Champagne Flutes that CSUSA offers...
The all wood goblet is a piece of wood from some Red Tips that I trimmed... they were rather overgrown when I moved in here and I cut about half of them back... they are more like trees now instead of shrubs.
The champagne flutes are all glue ups.. the first is cocobolo stem with curly maple, and a Muirapixuna base. Second is maple, walnut and yellowheart on a Muirapixuna base. Third is Colorwood "Fall Leaves" on a Greenheart base.
