I was also interested in a 6 loop knot. It did not come out as I wanted but was enough of challenge to make it interesting. It is made of a piece of scrap red oak with very open grain. Took lots of CA to fill, but when I started it I really did not expect it to ever make to a pen. Thanks for viewing.

I am not sure how "the correct" way was. It was a serious pain the first time. I first made a hexagonal pen blank, then each face got treated like the 4 loop knot. Cut at 45, insert the filler color, reglue the cut off end, flip to the next facet and repeat. The hardest part for me was getting an even accurate hex shaped blank. Thanks for viewing.
