Hi there. Steve (61) southside Richmond. I turned my first pen about ten years ago. Drifted away when every family member had a pen. Not interested in selling, but itching to get back at it.

Tried to make one today and had a CA disaster. Tube 80% in blank and CA grabbed. Was using thin; guess that was my mistake.

Reading here I see advice to use thick; just glued up other tube as experiment using Titebond Epoxy Glue. Went together fine, will check it tmw.

CORRECTION: Titebond Polyurethane Glue

Hi Steve,
Welcome from northern VA!

I've not had a problem with gluing tubes in blanks with CA but now I am using epoxy for just about all my blanks. I do not use CA to glue tubes in acrylics at all any more.
Some folks use the polyurethane glues for tubes.

Welcome from Arkansas. after a few stuck tubes, I now use 5 minute epoxy. Only if I'm in a hurry will I use CA, and then only thick.
