Harbor Freight vice

I saw an ad yesterday for a Harbor Freight sidewalk sale. they show a 12 speed flor standing drill press for $500. then in just print below that they mention the 6" cross slide vice is only something like $45.00
I paid $60.00 for the cross slide vice years ago. this is a great vice for holding blanks while drilling. Just thought I would give everyone a heads up.

i bought a 4" from them last year for 39. One of the best things i have ever done.:wink:.It seems to be well made and sure is a time saver when centering blanks.

Lance .... have you signed up with your name, snailmail and email address at their website? I probably get about two emails a week from them with bunches of coupon specials. The coupons are good in the store. Plus, I get their fliers mailed to my home. The fliers are different than what they have in the store. Often times the flier includes a 15% discount good on anything in the store.

To be honest, I had/have one of those somewhere. I found that Pauls self centering vise is hands down 100% better for any pen or stopper blank. If you are drilling other materials then perhaps this will help. JMHO
