A few weeks ago my father gave me a few chisels that had belonged to my grandfather. Two had handles that were loose and the rest were broken or missing. The 5 on the left are all from one set and Swedish made, the other 2 are German made. My doctor had given me some Brazilian rosewood flooring pieces and by glueing them together I was able to get pieces thick enough to make the new handles.

Rick what a great job on the chisel handles!!! You should be EXTREMELY proud and honored to own a set of chisels like these from your grandfather!!! Many of us, including myself, would give just about anything to own such a nice set from a loved one like yours!!! You did wonders honoring your grandfather and loved one with your beautiful work... Take care of them and treasure them, hopefully one day you'll be able to pass them on to another woodworking family member to honor your grandfather's memory!!! Thanks for sharing with us and safe turning to you always!
