I have read all the 20 coats and wet sand this and that methods but they aint for me.I dont normally like the higher gloss finishes. I have some real nice amboyna burl that I want to do a Statesman out of.I would like to try to get a hand rubbed glossy look to it . Not the 20 coats wet look of a car though. Is lacquer spray, lacquer spray ? or is there lacquer spray for wood vs metal ? I have a can of clear spray lacquer I was going to finish it off with then MM it to make it smooth. I just want a lower effort semi gloss finish I guess.Im dont want to try the CA finish due to it stuck to my bushings the one time I did it and was a mess to use.I didnt have any release agent is my problem I guess :)

Dave, why not try the BUFFING method instead of CA? You may like the results. Plenty of info in the 'search' pages if you're interested. Buff and shine in about three(3) minutes time. Heck even Uncle's Bens takes more time
