grinder problem

I have a fairly new grinder from Woodcraft with the 2 8" white wheels. My problem is that when I go to grind a gouge it is bouncing on the wheel. I have used the diamond tool to square up the wheel but can't seem to get it round. Help

There are many defective wheels shipped to our suppliers. Call WC and tell them you have an out of round, or non-concentric wheel. They should offer an exchange. Be sure to remind them that this was not your fault and you want them to pay shipping. Without that reminder, they (and other companies) tend to conveniently 'forget' to pay shipping back to them.
