Good Weathr = Shop Time

With the weather being nice, it's time to get back in the shop. These are some items I have done lately.
The peppermill was done for a challenge in our turning club. It is made of maple with a little woodburning added. It took first place, but there were only three other mills entered. The ring box or keepsake box is walnut with an oil finish on it. If the weather hangs around, maybe I can get some other projects done.

I've never seen a dalmatian pepper mill before, but it looks great. What kind of finish do you put over the burning?

The box is very nicely done, too.

Thanks fo the comments. The box is about 2" tall and 2 1/2" in dia. On the peppermill
I just beall buffed it with wax. Again, thanks for the comments.
