A friend literally found this lying on the side of a jogging path a while back, and gave it to me because he thought "I was into knives" I've probably made a hundred or so custom knives, forged, ground, folders, fixed blades, whatever.
Anyway, it was in kinda sad shape, although not a bad knife. It's a gerber freeman folder. Not that crazy about the gut hook, but at least it wasn't a serrated blade. The lacquered pear wood handle was in pretty sad shape. I disassembled and cleaned it, put it back together and made a new set of slabs from the lower section of a Gemsbok horn I had laying around, that was too big for a call and too thin for pens.
I think it looks better, how about you?
