Here are some whistles I just finished. In the latest issue of Woodturning Design there was an article about making them. I thought it would be fun to make some. It was. My wife wants to kill me now ever time she hears one.

In Order from Left to Right. Corian, Maple/Mahogany, Walnut, Leopard Wood, Maple/Walnut/Mahogany, Walnut, Ash and Leopard Wood.

Thanks for looking.

Those are very nice... I have made some in the past (similar - very close to that article)...

They are great to give away .... Especially to people living far away :)

Lookin' great! I made two this year.

One for my niece (pretty small and high pitched)
and one for my 4 year old (much lower pitched...) :)

I agree, those are great gifts for other peoples kids. I made a bunch for my cub scout den a while back, but my son's went missing shortly thereafter. Hope he never finds that one drawer in my shop of all the stuff he's "lost"

does anyone know where to find the instructions for making the whistles. I would love to make some for my brother-in-laws kids. Payback for the noise makers he has given my kids. Seriously, please someone tell me.
