I didn't know exactly where to post this so here goes. I have an knife maker friend (he is in his seventies and this is his last year making knives) that wants some Australian lacewood / fishtail oak from Australia. I read online that Australia stopped exporting some time ago and all the lacewood is from South America. He is very particular and doesn't want any of the domestic/non aussie import lacewood and wants the real stuff from Australia. I was wondering if anyone had some old stuff they are not using or any of the Australian wood turners had some pieces I could pass along to him. I would buy pieces or trade wood since I have lots of that also. A piece like 1 x 1.5 x 5 would be perfect or it could be smaller or larger also. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, isaac
