For those that do blanks using fishing pole threads to make great designs, this question is for you. I know there are different type threads to use and some do not need color preserver. But if you used color preserver on threads what is the best one on the market?? Do you think it would work on Irish Linen under epoxy resin? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

40 + years ago when I was building surf fishing rods, I always used Flex Coat color perserver and Flex Coat epoxy. I am sure it is still available today. My thoughts are that it would still work well today. A lot has changed over the years. Hopefully someone with more current experience will chime in. Maybe you could check in in on some of the rod building forums. Best of luck with this adventure. ……..Smokey
