I purchased some bottle stopper and pen kits from Berea (through them and Woodcraft) a couple of years ago; with the press of real work, kids, wife and other daily life required's, I just now got around to turning my first bottle stopeprs.

Credit to Jesse Wetherhold from SawMillCreek for the wood and the design of the "top-hat" style, from which I flagrantly copied

Also to Ed Davidson "YoYo Spin" who has a great website, appears frequently on this site and has helped me with his fantastic, free online tutorials.

All comments welcomed.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks a bunch

Thanks for the nice comments.

Ken, the stoppers were made almost exclusively with your tools, the radius of the bottom cove on the top-hat being the radius of your Round1.

The finish is Mylands 3-part. Sanding sealer, high gloss and carnuba.

Thanks again!

Look awesome to me too. I think I like that kit better than the one I got from PSI. I think next time I try to make one, I am going to research some shapes. I think both the shapes look really good. The finish is just stunning to me. Good job!
