I received some antler from a member here and I am sorry but I can't remember who it was. Anyway, I turned this pen last night with it.

Thanks again to the guy that sent the antler along last year.

Thanks for looking!
John

Edit: after some research I found that the antler came from Bill Burleson in Texas aka GUTS

Came out looking good , how was it to work with ? Any type of finish on it ?
Jerry,

It wasn't that bad to work with other than the smell of it while turning. Even with a dust mask on it was pretty poignant. I am looking forward to making some more of them. The finish is a high speed polish.

Your first attempt ended up as a really nice pen. My first (and second) attempt ended up in the trash can. Good work.

that really turned out nice. I love to work with antler, don't even mind the smell anymore. You should put that in the "show off Your Pens" forum so more people will see it.

I love working with antler. And like Paul, I don't ever care about the smell anymore. Every pen you make from it is unique and they always catch peoples attention. Keep up the good work
