I recently picked up a few euro kits, which I hadn't done before, and discovered that my pen mill will clear wood away from around the barrel, but doesn't square the barrel as well - instead it basically cuts around the barrel, which isn't very helpful. Are there any barrel trimmers out there that works better with the 7mm tubes, or is there another solution I'm not seeing?

If I accidentally cut the material past the end of the tube (that never happens, right?) I will use a scary sharp bench chisel to trim the tube just a little proud of the material, then use a countersink to get it flush. This serves two purposes, one to get the tube flush, and two to add a little bevel to the tube for easier hardware pressing.

When I inadvertently overtrim a blank with a 7mm tube (slimline/euro), I simply swipe the end a few times on a diamond sharpening stone. It cuts the brass down to flush in no time.
