The Eagle soars gracefully through the cloudless sky
Stopping, but for a moment, to play in the thermals
Joining his flock to feast at the plate of life.
The Eagle glides through spectacular flight displays
Courting his mate into the clear blue heavens then locking feet -
Tumbling and cart wheeling to the ground, mated for life.
The Eagle protects his family and friends alike,
His pale eyes, powerful yellow beak and great black talons
Always ready to defend that for which he “fliesâ€.
The Eagle sails effortlessly on extended wing,
His strength abundant and clear with each silent flap -
As he climbs to great heights known not by others.
July 4th The Eagle took one last look into the Sun,
Flapped his wings and flew his last earthly flight â€"
The next part of his journey, had just begun.
Our Eagle flew over the thermals one last time,
Crossed over the seas and over the sands
At peace at last … Eagle did Land.
The Eagle now flies, Only, in the silent of the night.
Kept alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved him
In this mortal life.

There are many legends and lore about the Eagle.
One of which is that The Eagle is the only creature
That can look directly into the Sun without harm.
