This was another one in the box from The Blank Fairy. I got a fair warning about one of them not being as easy to work with as the rest and I think this one was it. It had a lot of air bubbles and I managed to get most of them filled in. I hit a wall there the more I tried to fill them in, the worse they looked, so I finished it and assembled. I liked the marble look so much I couldn't scrub it and salvage the tubes. As it was, a friend of mine wanted a pen to go with some important books and writing that has to be done, so here it is. (No charge) I decided since I had a mountain of these enameled Slim parts I'd use a green kit. I did NOT expect the whole thing to look this good once assembled. I guess this is where shortcomings show up, and I'm not QUITE as good at filling a ton of voids as I thought I was.

The next time the Blank Fairy sends you some marble blanks, try filling in the voids with black, or green powdered stone and CA......OR
with some of the marble dust from the blanks.

It works for me.

Oh yeah! I got caught up and didn't even think to do that. Good advice. I wonder if mica powder would work.

As many mica colors as there are you may take a couple of try to match the color. I really like that pen though! Haven't been a fan of the colored slimlines, but that's definitely a great looking one.
