Bowl is 2 1/2" tall by 8 3/4" in dia. Had to make it smaller than I wanted to avoid a crack. Finished with food safe natural beeswax polish, will likely add another coat. I think it has a beautiful grain pattern.

That's a beauty! I just love cherry but that crotch figure is spectacular. Would love to see more pics of that bowl (different angles and higher definition). But then I'd probably drool all over the keyboard.

Awesome bowl!!! The grain of this piece is really beautiful! I've never turned cherry before... Is it easy to turn or??? I've heard that cherry burns easily when cut but wonder how it reacts to turning as I don't see alot of it posted as bowls, etc. Thanks for sharing and safe turning to you always!

It turns easily when green. When dry it is prone to tear out so you really need to keep your gouges sharp and not get too aggressive with your cuts.
