I have searched and can't find but I know its here!
- Where can I find a cross reference/chart that shows which drill bits to use with which tap?
- What tenon size for which die?
I need the chart or the instructions on how to figure it !

Your help is appreciated!

Every tap I have tells me what size drill to use right on it. For dies you need the OD of the desired final size. For example, if you are making 1/4" x 20, then the OD to die is 1/4".

For metrical threads, the "step" is also "depth". Example: M33 x 3,5 is hole size 33 - 3,5 = 29,5mm . Thats because metrical thread shape is always 60°.

I have a detailed sheet from a fastener distributor; drills and taps, metric conversion chart, screw size chart and drill bit needed, etc.
I could get ambitious and copy both sides for the forum. Doubt if it is copyrighted.

Let me know if it came through for you to post. I got this many years ago and keep it in a clear folder over my workbench.
