I am only using the Alumilite dye right now. I am not sure what can be mixed with the Alumilite and not mess up the resin. I saw one place where the person was using testor's model paint. I wasn't sure if I needed to use the white instead of the clear to get solid colors or if there was something else I could use.

So, mica powders? Where can I get these from?

A general rule of thumb is that dry pigments are compatible with both PR and Alumilite. Liquid pigments you have to be careful about. (because water + alumilite = foamy mess). Also, if you have high humidity moisture in the dry pigments may cause problems- but that's not really the pigment causing the problem.

As usual: Check out the Resin Color Library for recipes and lots of data, including recipes for PR and alumilite. And as always, it's open for contributions.

Not to sound like I doubt how good these are, but I really wanna see one of these blanks on a kit. I've been gawking at them too long NOT to.

Here are a couple of pictures of the gold-purple blank courtesy of LanceD.

Thank you for the information. I have tried looking through the tutorials on the site but they all seem to be for using PR.

Eugene,
This place is great. Fast shipping and slightly less expensive

Manny,

I just ran across another source that I thought I would let everyone know about. It is Dick Blick. Funny name but looks like good prices. Haven't ordered from them so I can't speak to their customer service/shipping speeds. Here is the link:
