Comet II or General Maxi

I will be purchasing a new lathe soon and my only 2 options available to me in Canada that I like are the 2 listed in the title.

I can buy the Maxi locally but is over 200$ more.

I like the Comet for the price and it appears to be a pretty good machine.

Is there some others that I am overlooking that I won't get killed on with shipping? I can't find many available in Canada.

Having used both of them I would say the Comet II. You can get both at KMS tools in BC And Alberta.

That's definitely the way I am leaning. Are the accessories for that attach to the outside expensive? I can't find anything but the grinder.

What did you like about the comet over the maxi?
