Howdy all,

Here's an FYI post... If you have a plan to turn some coffee scoops, you might want to consider the hardware that you get from Woodcraft (Chrome Coffee Scoop) rather than the one from PSI. The Woodcraft scoop is less expensive, much more substantial, classier looking (IMO) and gives you more freedom for handle design. The left handle is ambrosia maple and the right one is cherry burl.

Thanks, Dan. No, the hole is 1/4" and I turn the handle between centers with a live and dead head. For the divot on the one end from the headstock, I drive in a chrome roundhead brad.

Nice scoops! Are those plated? You can get stainless steel ones from PSI, which will not wear. Also PSI resellers have them, too, often for cheaper than directly from PSI.

Very nice one of the first things other than a pen I turned, I even learned that a insert highlight of different wood is Decorative Insert not a cover up for a boo boo.
