a QUESTION-

Does anyone use any kind of an agent to clean the blank after sanding and before applying a finish?

Your wisdom would be most appreciated.

We use CA accelerator. It is especially useful when dealing with oily woods. Don't get the finish lifting off when we use accelerator.

Just remember to let your blank dry for a while if you use DNA . DNA is almost 70 % water and if the can has been opened water content can be even higher (DNA absorbs water from the air , that is why alcohol is used as a fuel dryer in cars and trucks) .
While Acetone and Accelerator have a little water in them , it is just a trace . These are the better cleaning agents to use . Accelerator is my choice but it too should be allowed to completely dry before you apply your finish .
