Another attempt at my effort to slowly dismantle the Churchill pen kit. The wood is Cherry. Finish is CA. Kinda has the dowel rod look, but not too bad. I thought about some wire burning on the cap, but the wood at the threads is so thin, I got scared.

I like that a LOT. I'm not a big fan of the Churchills, but THAT is a sweet pen. Excellent job! I agree, the transition between the upper and lower barrels is a bit severe and could use some form of ornamnetation, but I wonder if simply easing the edge some wouldn't do the trick.

I might as well have left it off. The cap would post before I put on the finish, but now it won't stick in place. Either the CA is too slick, or added too much thickness to post properly.
