Cherry and Walnut

The cherry, is one that I had put up on the shelf and just got back to it. Did the bottom a little different.
Walnut where do I begin. This one flew off the lathe at least twice and had cracks, not from the fall, lucky, that I filled and was on the shelf half finished for a while. Just a thought, if anybody ever ask, why are there so many shavings on your floor. Tell them, they are there to break the fall. Cause this one would'nt have made it here without all the shavings. comments welcome. Notice the lighter wood on bottom this is sap wood and why it would not stay on the lathe. It just kept tearing out.

Very nice bowls, I know what you mean about falling off the lathe. I have not had a bowl yet not tear the bottom oof and fall.

Nice looking bowls, appear to be about 10" diameter?

The cherry is 7'' by 2 1/4''.
The walnut is 7 1/4'' by 3 1/4''
