Captured Rings

Originally a pen that I cut too short I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to try doing captured rings again. I hope to eventually make a pen with them.

I cut my last piece 3 times and it is still too short.

Wow!! That is seriously small!! It must take steady hands to make something like that.

It takes a lot of patience but I rely completely on my tool rest for stabilizing my position as my hands are not super steady. Not sure when I'll get to attempt this again with an actual pen as the next couple months are going to be crazy busy but I'm hoping to actually make a pen with captured rings. When I do I'll post the tools I made for it.
