Made this one from some Bog Oak I got from wolftat a few weeks ago.
I LOVE this wood! JUST the thought of working with wood from a tree that was growing thousands of years ago is inspirational.
Finishing was a little tricky. The grain raises like regular oak. I wanted a smooth, semi gloss finish. Ended up wet sanding with thin CA. This took care of the raised grain, then several sessions of 4 or 5 coats of lacquer, sanding in between and a final buff with RW.
Didn't really want to sell it, but money is tight, so I priced it really high.
It sold a the first show I brought it to.
Looking forward to getting more Bog Oak
