Just picked up a piece of this. I don't usually like anything more grainy than Tulipwood (though I've done some in marblewood). Anybody used this before? Any advice on how it behaves?

I've done a good bit of Macassar ebony. Are the characteristics similar?

I've done some with the B&W E... I like the wood. Pens really don't show off the wood's coloration as well as larger pieces.. here is a little bowl and a game call I did..

The wood polishes well and is pretty stable.. expensive in larger pieces.

I haven't turned any in a while, but from what I remember, it turned very easy and polished nicely. I particually like crosscut pieces which really shows off the contrasting grain.
