Bentwood Rings

I just found this section for all things
Woodworking (other than pens!). I thought I would post a picture of another of my endeavors...bentwood rings!

This particular ring is Santos Rosewood lined with Cherry, with a light turquoise inlay. Let me know what you think!

There is an instructables link floating around out there on how to do bentwood rings that does a pretty good job (I'll see if I can find it)

The premise of it is you take strips of veneer, steam it, bend it, glue it (ca glue), sand it, inlay it (if you'd like) and finish it!

Yep that's it! The only thing of day is definitely DO NOT glue when the wood is still wet like it says on there...we know how Well CA mixes with moisture!
