Back Scratcher

My 5 yrs old granddaughter observed her teacher rubbing her back on the doorway at school, she told her that her Poppy would make a back scratcher for her :bulgy-eyes: Got to love'em I never tried one of those but knew I had to do it. found one in the PSI catalog and ordered it. My first.. when's summer vacation anyways? :biggrin:

I love that wood. What is it? I have dome spalted oak that looks very similar to that.

I don't know what it is, I received it from a guy working for the gas company, and he received it from another fella who was retiring from turning. I thought it was spalted maple but I really don't know.

Second the beauty of the wood. Gotta love the grandchildren and children. They are always willing to volunteer you!!! But when they are gone you miss 'em.
