Made these for my BIL back in October 2014. Made from solid cherry for a Kimber Solo 9 mm. I thought I had posted them back in 2014 but couldn't find the post, probably on a woodworking forum I subscribe to. The black ones are the originals.

Those look really nice. I imagine he was very pleased.
With the resin, there isn't a need for a top coat. So with the wood, what did you use that will hold up to handling and the acids from the hands?

It's been a couple years since I made them and I don't really recall the finish I used but most likely it was wipe-on-poly. At that time I was using WOP for most everything I had to apply a finish to. I will check with my BIL and see how they are holding up.
