The order for 31 awards was placed Oct 23 and had to be delivered by Nov 1. I had to find the lumber and then resaw the 5/4 maple to 9/16" thick. Plane and sand all as well as joint the walnut for the bases. I cut all pieces to length. Cut the walnut veneer for the border on my laser. Glue the veneer to the maple boards. Cut out all of the states with scroll saw. Rout the edge around all of the bases. Cut all of the mortises in the bases. Engrave all of the states and bases. Apply finish. Glue states into bases. There were a couple of 20 hour days in that stretch, but I made delivery at 2pm on Nov 1. Now back to turning inventory for upcoming shows.
