Took a break from turning pens and made a couple flatwork projects.
The clock was built from old growth cherry (long story) with plans designed byMark Sommerfeld. I changed the plans to accommodate a mechanical works in place of a quartz movement. All panels were done using Mark's Jr. raised panel cutters.
The end grain cutting board was a project I saw on the web. Bruce Robbins,(IAP member) was kind enough to program his CNC machine and cut the stars in the purple heart and they were inlaid with Maple. The board was completed using purple heart, padauk, and maple.
Next project is to turn two Rolex watch pen blanks from CaptG.
Don't forget the MAPG, the first weekend in May!!
