Had an order for 6 various bottle stoppers. Most are made from scraps (Osage Orange, Bocote, Walnut). Segmented with either aluminum/copper/maple - sandwiched with Padauk or Canary Wood.

Not sure I have a favorite - but they are all headed for a home. :)

Nice style.
How did you finish these?
Would you mind sharing what you charge in general for these?
Do you find its better to spring for stainless steel over chrome?
Sorry for all the questions I'm new to the hobby.

Cheers

I used Medium CA.
They range in price from $25-$35 plus shipping
I go with stainless steel. Not sure why - just looks better.

Good luck - turning is addictive as I'm sure you already know.

I am slowly gathering the needed materials & tools to start making stoppers myself.
Those are very nice looking units.

RobS, yes it is worth the extra to buy the stainless steel ones. Especially, if you want to have satisfied customers. After a while, the chrome finished ones can start losing their chrome coating and become pitted.

Those are all good looking Ross.
I agree with Len (Lucky2), stainless steel for happy customers. When a customer comes back, you want it to be for a reorder, not a complaint.
