Hard to tell in photos, what kind of wood is it? Lots of good bowl blanks there and lots pen blanks also.

Basswood is most commomly used for carveing----that's close enough to turning for me.
Frank I am going to get some monster blanks out of this wood.
Oh that's the shop firewood pile next to the trailer.
I am done for the day but will try and get you folks a pic showing off the grain next time I work on it.
